Former Olympian and Professional Boxer
Andrew Kooner is a Canadian boxer, originally from Northamptonshire, England and moved to Tecumseh, Ontario at a very young age. His love of boxing began early, when he was only 13 years old and started training out of a local Windsor club. He remained loyal to the sport and dedicated himself to perfecting his craft and over the last 24 years Andrew has had tremendous success and numerous proud moments as a boxer. He is a two time Olympian, having represented Canada at both the Sydney and Athens Olympics, a 10-time Canadian Bantamweight boxing champion, a three-time medalist at the Pan Am and Commonwealth games and silver medalist at the world under 19 championships.
Now, after having built and lived a multi-decade, successful professional career with many accolades to his name, Andrew’s focus has turned to passing on his boxing and fitness expertise to others. Andrew’s mission is to provide his clients with the mental strength, endurance and technical knowledge necessary to achieve the superior and long-term sustainable results that he has first had experience with. Andrew’s approach to boxing and exercise is dynamic and tailored to each one of his clients. He has completed the Fitness Leadership Program with Humber College, he is certified with Rock Steady Boxing, having trained clients living with Parkinson’s Disease and is part of the International Fitness Association, Boxing Ontario and Agatsu. Andrew is also first-aid and CPR certified.
